The importance of editing in MS Word before the PDF review
The following page is taken, with the founder’s permission, from my markups a few years ago of the Nigeria-based website of African Projects for Peace and Love Initiatives (APPLI). The site was initially developed by Nigerian apprentices in the APPLI program. The first I saw the website was in PDF (portable document file) format, so I found a large number of items I needed to mark.
The normal CopyProof procedure is first to do edits in Microsoft Word, after which I return the document to the client for approval. I then send it to a designer who prepares it as a PDF. At that point, I review it again and do markups, which invariably are far fewer in number than what one sees here.
